Dr. Wayne Gerald Riskin, MD

t is a pleasure for me to review Dr Wayne Riskin. I visit him for gout. Dr Riskin knows all there is to know about gout having seen thousands of patients. He was able to steer me through the expected flares associated with beginning uric acid lowering therapy. His vast experience allows him to prescribe medication accounting for some kidney problems I have. In addition to his expertise he is kind warm and compassionate. His staff are experts in managing insurance and prior authorization issues which they do in an enthusiastic and friendly manner. I highly recommend Dr Riskin and This practice for rheumatology issues.

Arrived at the office, signed in, paid my co-pay and was called in within 2 min. 7 min later doctor injected my knee with ORTHOVISC (2nd shot). knee does not hurt so I'm happy.

Dr. Risking has taken care of me for my RA for the past 6 years. He is always encouraging and kind.

Be Advised! - Lyme Disease presents many symptoms which are often misdiagnosed as Fibromyalgia, ALS, and many other illnesses. This doctor misdiagnosed me with Fibromialgia, and when my symptoms (which included agonizing pain, muscular degeneration, memory loss, heart palpitations and many many others) persisted despite using every medication in existence for Fibro at the highest doses, he screamed at me when I called for help. He left me with no referral and no consideration for a young human being who was suffering and just wanted to get well, to get back to work/living. I finally found answers with a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) after I continued to deteriorate in every manner possible, answers which are supported by hard biological evidence. I'm doing much better now, no thanks to Riskin.

The office staff needs to be revamped. They are a bunch of rude and insensitive group. They are rarely in a good mood and so impatient. The majority of us are elderly and here because we are in pain. Show some compassion. If the doctors weren't so good I would go elsewhere.

The wait time to see this doctor is over an hour on every visit I have had. I have been a patient for over eight years. The staff are uncooperative, and are always pushing for unecessary office visits for things like filling out a simple form (at the doctor's convenience) or answering a simple drug interaction question from my dentist. I would not recommend this office.
