Dr. Wayne Lee Wasemiller, MD

I like Dr. Wasemiller. He gives concise information, is very knowledgeable about drugs. He doesn't sugar coat what he tells you. He has helped my conditions improve.

He does not spend much time with his patients, very self centered.

I have not been in to see this doctor yet. I am the wife of a military member trying to get an appointment for months. When I called I was told that there is a stack of over 300 referrals and the ONE girl that works for this doctor "just doesn't have time" to call and make everyone appointments. I asked what happens if my referral expires while I'm waiting and I was told it was my problem...this is not a good start.

Accurate diagnosis is empty because he doesn't deserve 1 star. This doctor inaccurately diagnosed me with "migraines" which I knew was incorrect as I am a patient with a history of Ependymoma(brain tumor). I asked for an MRI which he told me "no you just have migraines"â?¦..he put me on Topamax which increased the pain in my head therefore a phone call to his office ended in increasing my Topamax dosage. ??? After another 2 weeks on this I had to quit my job because of the increasing head pain and daily crying at work and I lost at least 15 pounds. He scheduled me for no follow up, never checked on me even after I cried to his office staff about the excruciating pain. The doctor's office that I worked for referred me to an OU physician and a week after I quit my job the diagnosed me with Ependymoma of the brain and spine. I had a walnut sized tumor at the base of my spine and one in my brain and small ones all down my spine. Thank you Mr Wasemiller for taking such good care of… me-sarcasetically speaking. I still contemplate writing him a letter letting him know this but I don't believe he would give a darn.

I saw Dr Wasemiller for the first time last summer-2012 for "migraines" or chronic head pain. I have a history of a brain tumor (over 10 years ago) and he did not feel the need to follow up on this. I addressed wanting any test and even asked him if I could get an MRI or any other type of test and he refused and told me it was migraines. I had delayed taking any medications for a few reasons for a few short months...then my "migraines" started to get worse. So after a few months I decided to try some medications. He prescribed me a medicine that after a month my head pains began to get worse. He then recommended that I increase the dose. Which I did and the pain was debilitating and I decided it was time to stop this medicine as it was not for me. I addressed this with his office staff and a few other concerns. They did not get back to me on this. I felt neglected and like I was just another person on their schedule that day...I ended up quitting my job and getting a second opinion at… OU. A month later I had an MRI of brain and another test to see if I had a spinal leak. These tests revealed that I had multiple lesions on my spine and brain, and a spinal tumor that is possibly malignant. If maybe Dr Wasemiller would have done an MRI a year earlier would this be so upsetting for me? Some Neuroscience Institute they are.... Their information is elementary. I have seen better.

Dismissive and apathetic. Missed numerous important symptoms. Failed to follow up.

This Dr. Really cares about his patients. He took his time with me and did his best to answer all my questions. He has gone the extra mile for me, and I am not a wealthy person. We like it told as it is not sugar coated like some folks, and that's how he tells it. He's honest and that's a valuable trait in any situation. If he doesn't have the answer, he will send you to someone who does!

Dr. Wasemiller was a complete waste of my time. All this man wants is money. Lacking in bedside manner
