Dr. Weena Chua Favis, MD

I have visited Dr. Favis twice, and I found her to be very professional in her demeanor. The office staff and nurses are friendly, and I felt the Doctor spent ample time with me. She seems to care about my condition, and she prescribed medication to help lower my blood sugar. So far, I am highly satisfied.

I am so happy I found her.

Very poor follow through with testing or diagnosis

I feel as if she didn't even listen to what I had to say, we didn't even talk about the reason I was there in the first place. Not a good bedside manner at all. I will not be going back.

I went to Dr. Favis a few years ago and she put me on steroids for bronchitis and gave me inhalers. these medications made my heart race and made me jittery. the more I complained about the way I felt she gave me more medication. She put me on anti-depressants and told me i had ananxiety disorder. She then gave me zannac to calm me. I would wake up in the middle of the night having an anxiety attack. I thought I was going crazy. This went on for several weeks and I wasn't getting better and she kept increasing my medication and it was making me worse. Every time I mentioned that I believed it was the medicaton that was effecting me that way she said it wasn't, it ws my "anxiety disorder" and she wouldn't listen to me. I kept feeling worse on the medication and one morning I woke up with numbness in my face and a horrible headache. I went to see Dr. Favis and again I told her I belived the medicine was doing it and again she blamed it on my "anxiety disorder" and said since that… medicine wasn't helping she wanted me to stop that medication and come back in a week and she would put me on something else. She gave me another prescription for my headaches and told me to come back in a week. I walked out of her office and tore up the prescriptions and stopped taking all the medications. about 2 days later, my headache was gone and my feelings of anxiety was gone. I quit taking the zannac and I have been fine since. This was 9 years ago and I haven't had a "anxiety disorder" since I stopped seeing Dr. Favis. I trusted her and that is why it took me so long to stop the medication. She put me through a horrible ordeal because she wouldn't listen to me. I pray this doesn't happen to any more of her patients.

The following are concerns to me as a patient:-Too many staff changes in short time period-RUDE staff in Accounting area- hang up on patient-Dr fails to read chart prior to consulting with patient.
