misdiagnosed my condition wouldn't recommend this doctor to my worst enemy

Everything about Internal Medicine of Carmel can only be considered excellent. The staff works as a top notch Team, with every member of the team supporting and complementing the other aspects and team functions. The staff obviously works to stay current with the latest medical research, trends, procedures, available treatments, etc. regarding everything from the use of cutting edge technology to inexpensive home remedies that really work! In the approximately 15 years I've been seeing Dr. Byers, there has never been an error of any kind on my records, either medically speaking or from a business/accounting perspective. I am one to scrutinize my records and kept paper copies of everything before the office converted to electronically maintained documentation. This is the one and only medical office of any kind that I have ever done business with (including dentists and veterinarians) that I can say has never made an error that I detected. That in itself is commendable. Their… professionalism is unsurpassed. Not much could be done to top that off, but the icing on the cake is the warmth, friendliness, compassion, and respect for confidentiality displayed by the health care staff both as a Team and on an individual basis. Their respect for one another is also quite evident and impressive. I have been referred to specialists as needed, and have been quite pleased with the health care professionals I was referred to as well. Dr. Byers actually knows the providers she refers me to and they have all been well above average. In particular Dr. Wendy Byers is outstanding. I would recommend Internal Medicine of Carmel without reservation to anyone of any gender or age (I have made referrals and the experience of those referrals parallels mine so I speak based upon their perspectives as conveyed to me as well as my own) . All I can really say is "Good Job!!" and thank you.

I have been seeing Dr. Byers for so many years I can't remember, and followed her through I believe two entire office moves (the entire office moved, she did not leave the practice). I can't imagine seeing anyone else for the services that she provides. Due to insurance changes and other factors beyond my control I have seen other providers off and on during the many years I've been with Dr. Byers' Team. Their care ranged from average to excellent when evaluating both individual and comprehensive factors, yet none could come close to comparing with Dr. Byers' team. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation or reservation. In addition to the foundation of excellence the practice has been built upon, Dr. Byers strives to stay current with the latest and greatest changes in the field of adult health care and ensures that her associates and staff do the same. All members of the team strive to exceed each individual patient's expectations in every area, from the basic… tenants of customer service to the latest treatment options. I don't have time to go into the detail that would be necessary to adequately describe the professionalism, spirit of excellence, medical knowledge, empathy and kindness nurtured and cultivated within the team and offices of the Byers, Leivant, Palmer, and Cloncs (Nurse Practitioner) health care Team. They're the Best!

I am a nurse so I choose physicians carefully. Dr. Byers is one of the best physicians I have ever known. I especially appreciate that she is a good listener and has keen assessment skills. She is very practical in her approach. An example of that is not using the newest most expensive medications before trying "tried and true" medicines or not using medication at all if it isn't needed . She is very aware of how expensive medical intervention can be and so she is a very good stewart of my health care dollars. Dr. Byers is very caring and has an excellent bedside manner. I know that she is a very busy doctor but she never makes feel like she doesn't have time for me. Sometimes the doctor can be great but the office is horrible. Every one that I have encounter at her office is polite, friendly and helpful. I have even received calls to remind me I was late on a mammogram or inquire about what my BP readings were after she had recommended that I track them. I can't say enough… wonderful things about this physician or her office staff. I have given her a perfect score!

Dr. Byers has been my doctor for over 10 years and I couldn't be happier with the care I receive and her compassion.
