Dr. Wendy Anne Demartino, MD

This ER visit was the worst most humiliating experience I have ever been through. Dr. DeMartino has zero compassion and is extremely rude. I wrote a complaint letter to Exeter to let them know how inept and rude she is. The letters is part of her record file and Part of her review process.

Let me preface this by saying I have amazing specialist Doctors at Exeter and it is people like Wendy DiMartino who destroy a hospitals reputation. At work I suffered a seizure. I have epilepsy. I was brought to Exeter completely unaware of what happened. Dr. Martini dx me with a mildly low electrolyte. She did not read the ambulance report. I I knew it was worse than a mildly low level of electrolytes. I told her that she could not discharge me until she figured out what was wrong, I was panicked. She literally laughed in my face and discharged me immediately. I was furious.(Unfortunately when you are in life threatening you are not given a choice of ERs). I told her that I have epilepsy, I have had it for years and I am followed by a Dr at a Boston hospital. Doctor DiMartino should NOT be allowed to practice medicine.

I will never set foot in the Exeter Hospital ER again. This doctor completely dismissed why I was there and when I pushed back, said “it might be uncomfortable but you’re fine.” She and most of the other staff were condescending and took 4 hours to do nothing for me when the ER was otherwise empty.

I agree with the two previous reviews. Dr. Martino was extremely rude and gave the impression I was wasting her time by asking questions. She was condescending and sneered at my prior medical history (from a Boston Hospital)I have great Doctors at Exeter, but her attitude gives Exeter a bad name and would prevent patients from returning. I would ask to go to another ER in future.

I will never return to Exeter Hospital. My experience there was humiliating. I was not heard at all & left in the same shape as I went in.
