Dr. Wendy Ann Huempfner, MD

I love Dr Wendy and have been going to her for 4 years. She considers your experience with your health and combines it with her many years of experience as a medical doctor. She is so so so smart and knows her stuff. I love that she treats you as whole person. I used to try some alternative medicine and shared that with her. She was able to explain why one of the medications I was taking was not good. Her answer made so much sense that I decided to try her recommendation instead and felt so much better. I appreciate that she is straightforward and makes sure that I understand her reasoning for recommending or not recommending something. Dr Wendy specializes in GYN which is so valuable when you have to deal with issues that arise after the child bearing years. She is worth any kind of wait you may have.

I have been a HIGHLY SATISFIED patient of Dr. Huempfner for over 10 years. As her title suggests, she integrates contemporary research and ideas with traditional medicine as she helps her patients in a holistic manner. She has helped treat and advise me through major life changes, major surgeries and now cancer. She is well - recogonized and connected with her peers in the field, and has been a valuable resource in recommending me to outstanding women's health doctors when my health situation required them. She takes time to listen to her patients, and is honest, straight-forward and detailed when giving advice and counsel. This doctor does not watch the clock - but if I need to wait for an appointment as she runs late, I know that she is giving another patient the time needed to be thorough with her care D. Cromwell

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Huempfner. As a new patient, I have never received such a thorough, knowledgeable, personal experience about my female health. Having turned 65 and as I age, female issues are different and Dr. Huempfner is very current on menopausal and aging women's personal issues and needs. I have seen her 4 times in two months. I have never had such personal interaction and education regarding my female health. Her staff is very warm and friendly as well.

All I can say is WORTH THE WAIT. Sometimes she does get backed up, but Dr. Huempfner has been my gynecologist for many years and I never mind waiting because she spends quality time with each patient and will explain everything in great detail.

I saw Dr. Huempfner recently for the first time and I had a decent experience. I did not wait long and she took her time with me. She is very thorough, probably the most thorough doctor I have ever seen. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a gynecologist or new one because she will make sure that any concerns of yours are taken care of.

I have been a patient with Dr. Huempfner since she started practicing medicine in Tucson. I recently noticed that there are quite a few negative reviews online about Dr. Huempfner, that are for the most part completely inaccurate. Most of them were posted during the time that she was still doing obstetrics and had many things going on in her life. Doing obstetrics, staying up late every night is a lot of stress for any doctor. One thing I will agree on is the wait time. Yes, I too have had times that I had to wait a while, because she runs her own clinic. She does not have a large staff or any nurses to assist her. She is seeing back to back patients on her own, and each patient could have several things going on at once. She is only one person who can only do so much. Her skills as a physician cannot be argued, for she has been a surgeon for many years, and is a board certified gynecologist with a fellowship with the The American Congress of Obstetricians. Dr. Huempfner is amazing and… incredibly intelligent. She has worked hard her whole career, but with that said, nobody is perfect. She is a great person who really only has good intentions. Her personality may come off abrasive to some, but you should not take it personally. She can be very serious sometimes or can get overwhelmed, just like the rest of us. A lot of reviews I have read seem to be the complete opposite of how she really is. I have many friends that go to Dr. H as well, and they have never had a bad experience. Remember, one person cannot make everyone satisfied.

I joined her practice this year and I am very satisfied with the care, along with the staff. The woman at the front desk is so kind and wonderful. Dr. Huempfner herself is very knowledgeable and sharp. She knew exactly what was going on with me and she took appropriate/correct action. She is located in a great area also (near St. Joseph's Hospital/Carondelet Medical Group). There are several labs, like Sonora Quest and Radiology Limited around, which makes it easy to get any blood work or testing done. I have referred a few of my friends to her already because she is awesome!

I am a long term patient of Dr. Huempfner and she truly is wonderful. I would most definitely recommend her.
