I have worked with Wendy Stimson for quite a few years. She helped me recover from multiple surgeries to my left knee, and from the effects of lumbar stenosis and a related surgery. Most recently she coached me through recovery from the replacement my left knee. Her skills in diagnosing physical issues are second to none in my view. She understands how the human body is supposed to work, and has extraordinary skills in detecting flaws in its performance and connecting them to the true cause. She has invented very creative diagnostic techniques that employ laser beams attached to a patient’s body in ways that let that person visualize how various body parts of interest are actually moving. She uses this technique as well to show the patient how those parts should be moving. “Make the light do that,” she says. Finally, she is a very effective coach. She accurately understands what each patient’s physical issues are, and then defines an effective plan of action to improve their… capabilities to the best possible level. She then systematically moves each patient along that defined path. Along the way, she is always kind and encouraging, but relentless. She knows what is possible and is not afraid to push the patient forward firmly when that is required. Speaking from personal experience, this is not always pleasant, sometimes painful, but always extremely effective. Wendy takes her work very seriously and, in my experience, has always delivered the best possible value for the patient.
