Dr. Wesley Lee Hicks, MD

What a crock. I was never given any orientation materials, and my concerns were never addressed. They did not even know I was just there to discuss the Warthin's tumor until I mentioned it. I was not there to make him my Ent doctor. I was told to go there to discuss the Warthin tumor, that's it, and I was never asked if I had an Ent doctor. When I mentioned that I was getting a second opinion from Dr Loree, the demeanor in the office changed. dr hicks came into the exam room, never even talked about the Warthin tumor, just slapped a piece of paper on my chest and said, "it's benign have a nice day". this was one of the most unprofessional visits I have ever had. My appointment was for 11am and was not seen until 12:30pm, unacceptable. The paper he slapped on my chest was from the scan. Nothing from him. I wouldn't trust dr hicks to take my temperature. I feel sorry for his patients. How many unnecessary things is he doing to his patients???

I was told at check in that he was running 1 hour behind. I rescheduled. Why can’t a PA see you. If I was an hour late I would not be seen.

Great and caring doctor

Dr. Hicks is an excellent doctor and tells you what he would do if you were a member of his family. That's the best advice you want.

WE WAITED 1 HR AND 45 MIN. TO BE SEEN..MY HUSBAND ASKED DR HICKS IF HE COULD SPEAK LOUDER BECAUSE HES HARD OF HEARING AN D DR HICKS SAID "TAKE YOUR HAT OFF" DAUGHTER HEARD THAT TOO 10 MIN APPOINTMENT HE HANDED MY HUSBAND THE PAPERWORK ON THE TESTS THAT WERE DONE AND SAID 'READ IT..HE DOESNT REPRESENT ROSWELL VERY WELL

On our initial appointment, we were left waiting for hours. When we finally saw Dr. Hicks, he spent 4 minutes with us. Our initial 4-minute visit was interrupted by his cell phone. He took the call. That finished our 4-minute visit. Keep in mind that our visit was to determine if we had cancer or not. We sent follow-up messages via Roswell Park's patient portal and it was obvious that the medical staff didn't read them very well, as our questions were never answered.

I had a 10 AM appointment with Dr. Hicks. After a few hours with no further info from his team I was ready to call it quits and just leave. My wife convinced me to stay because she was very worried about a growth in my throat that was being evaluated. A little after 6 PM Dr, Hicks finally waltzed in with an assistant. He took a quick look at my chart and told his assistant to schedule the procedure to evaluate the growth. He spent no more than 2 minutes with me AFTER WAITING 8 HOURS! His manner was abrupt and condescending....no concern or empathy at all! Luckily the growth turned out to be of no concern but if I need further evaluation, I would hesitate to choose Roswell for my care. When the commercials say to "spend a day with us", they really mean it but for me it was NOT in a good way. All the credentials and awards in the world mean nothing when your doctor makes you feel as if you are nothing but a case file.
