Dr. Wesley Wayne Hiser, MD

A close relative of mine saw this physician in consultation after having chest pain and shortness of breath for months. (I am a Registered Nurse with decades of experience in cardiology in a large University hospital in Boston). My relative is a 54 year-old reasonable, highly-educated adult who reported back to me as follows: "This man is extremely condescending and attempted to intimidate me by his cold and aloof manner. His responses to my questions were abrupt and lacking in any depth. He seems to be an arrogant human being with very little respect for humanity. He may have decades of experience but they have obviously not taught him any compassion." I need not say more.

Not impressed, even a little.

This is relayed to me by a neighbor's mother but she is a reasonable, intelligent adult and I believe her: She was told this Dr was the 'best' in Wyoming for cardiac issues. (I am a RN with extensive experience in cardiology from a medical center in Boston). Her experience with this Dr was not good-she said he was cold and dismissive when she described her symtoms, and very abrupt in answering her questions. She has gotten another opinion from the only other cardiology office in the area and is much more satisfied with the answers she recieved, and is happy with the followup care provided at that office.

Dr. Hiser gave us the the good, the bad and nothing in between. The truth about the condition and a visual of the heart cath via TV. We got a solid explanation and indepth explanations of everything we asked of him and more. His bedside manner was great and we would recommend him in all aspects of diagnosis, care and medicine. His prognosis is also unbiased and informative. His reputation preceded him and was accurate, he does appear to be the best in Wyoming.

This physician has the poorest bedside manner I have seen in a doctor. He did not respond well to questioning and attempted to berate any of the family members who asked about the surgery performed. The family felt more confused before speaking to this doctor. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
