He claims to be a lyme disease specialist involved with ILADS. In my opinion, he is not. I tested CDC positive for lyme with him and after my 30 days of doxycycline were up, my symptoms were back and he dismissed them as "post lyme syndrome" and said they should subside in about another month. Several months went by, I kept complaining about my headache, muscle pain, fatigue, and vision and all he kept telling me was, "Well, YOU LOOK GOOD!". Since the first visit with him, we discussed my 20 yr history of autoimmune diseases and any doctor who is a member of ILADS should have figured out that this wasn't my first tick bite and that biofilms are my problem. ILADS docs don't rely on tests that show lyme antibiodies because lyme tricks your immune system, ILADS docs make a clinical judgement. In this case, Dr. Kozinn couldn't see anything wrong with me with his eyes, so therefore, I was ok. Sure enough, I was retested by another doctor and showed more positive IGG and IGM bands.… Plus, my new doc did a thorough 2.5 hour interview and full physical/neurological exam. I am now getting proper treatment for Lyme and Bartonella associated biofilms.
