Dr. Wesley Keith Maples, MD

Dr. Maples is an amazing and brilliant Internal Medicine Specialist at Tulsa Spine and Specialty Hospital. He has ensured exceptional service by checking on my Mother daily since her major back surgery and has verified important medical information my mother needs to follow-up on with her PCP once back home.

I took my mother to a bone and joint hospital to have an operation on her foot. In pre-op, the nurse told us Dr Wesley Maples “likes to come in and visit surgical patients.” We asked why, because it sounded odd. The nurse said she wasn’t really sure, but he just likes to check in with patients. He was friendly, but all he did was ask what she was having done, touched her leg and left. Well, we found out why he does this when my mom received a $400 bill for “his services.” This is absolutely outrageous! We did not ask for “his services,” we did not need “his services,” and he did not preform any medical service whatsoever! I later discovered he left private practice to do this. Dr Maples is an internist (aka disease specialist) working at a bone and joint hospital, providing absolutely no medical benefit to patients, yet he charges patients for this “service” they did not want, ask for or need! This is fraud! It is insurance fraud, Medicare fraud and an abuse of trusting patients. I… will be reporting him to the Oklahoma DOI, the medical licensing board and will report him for Medicare fraud!
