Dr. Wesley Andrew Tyree, MD

Our experience with Dr. Wesley Tyree was very disappointing. While my husband was under his care, his ejection fraction dropped sharply from around 50% to 16%. During this decline, we felt our concerns weren’t taken seriously, and there was no clear plan for his treatment. When my husband was hospitalized, we asked for a transfer to Mayo Clinic because we no longer felt comfortable with his care. Dr. Tyree and his team refused, saying there was no need to transfer him if they could treat him locally. This only made us more anxious and unsure. After we eventually went to Mayo Clinic, my husband’s condition improved, and his ejection fraction increased. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Dr. Tyree for patients with serious heart issues. If you or a loved one are in a similar situation, seek a second opinion as soon as possible.

Dr Tyree is a super nice Doctor, who has a great bedside manner. He is highly recommended. However he is somewhat let down by a very rude lady at the front desk who is not very nice to deal with.

Honestly, I have never been treated so unkindly on a medical visit at ATRIA PROMENADE, Dr. Wesley Tyree and his RN Susan barely noticed me during my appointments, the visit lasted no more than 3 minutes. No calls back, no reply to emails, and waiting for weeks if not months for test results. Dr.Tyree ordered two tests in-house, an Echo and a stress test, and then set up 2 appointments, one to read Echo results, another appointment to read the stress test.....and 3rd appointment to read blood test results. Great Doctor a day before my hand surgery he saw me and I was so upset sick in the hospital bathroom from stress and wanted to call my much needed surgery off. I can honestly say if it wasn't for his kindness and expressing his concerns for my heart health. I would have called the surgery off but instead I promised to visit for a follow -up and I am happy he is now my Doctor.

Everything done on time and thoroughly exsplained

My dad has been under Dr. Tyree's care for several years. He is never rushed, always thorough, and devises creative solutions to difficult problems. Outstanding staff, too. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience overall. Took the time to answer all of my questions. Was able to explain things to me in a way I could understand. Great, caring bedside manner. Would recommend to a friend.

Dr. Tyree has been an OK doctor. At times, he seems like he cares and takes the time to listen to you. Other times, he brushes you off, and dismisses your questions/concerns.Also, the office staff can be rather rude. His secretary Gwen has been rude the few times I have dealt with her. Her rudeness alone would be a reason to look at other doctors. In the end though, if Dr. Tyree would work on being consistent with the way he treats patients, he would be a really good doctor that I would recommend to others.

He seems compassionate and makes you feelhe is not in a rush. He lets you explain your concerns and takes the time needed to review his findings.
