Dr. Growdon just completed my surgery for a rare type of cancer. From the moment I met him to my continued after care, I know I made the right decision. He is an incredible doctor with a wonderful manner that made this terrifying process something I was able to come to terms with and be excited about my recovery and becoming cancer free. He is intelligent and compassionate and spends the time to listen and be there.

Look... I had great surgery..could not have asked for better..top notch. Had zero pain and easy recovery after laparoscopy. MGH is tops! Some of my disappointment was due to his office staff..it was pretty disorganized..and I had to push hard to get a surgery date. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism compared to Dana Farber. I did not have a lot of confidence in his nurses pre and post surgery. The Nursing staff as an impatient in MGH however were fantastic. Regarding Dr. Growden.. he scared me unnecessarily without have all the facts after surgery, and I was traumatized....so much so that I had to find another Dr. post treatment..I could not look at him again after the conversation he had with me. I am a 2 year survivor.. and did great. Due in part I am sure to his excellent surgery.

This doctor was one of the worst in a close relatives experiences at MGH. If he had taken the time to listen to my relative the cancer would have been caught 9-12 months earlier, even other doctors at MGH said that. He was always to busy to return a phone call personally and sometimes it would take three days for them to call back.

This man is a diamond in the ruff... he is the most amazing doctor I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. I've been a patient of his for 6 years and i couldn't be happier! he is amazing and in my opinion the best of the best!

This doctor is exactly what the other patients are saying about him and more.He is just so kind, gentle and caring.Yet, so professional.I had never been to Mass General as a patient before and found each and every person that I came in contact there treated me like one would treat their best friend.I just can not say enough good things about my experiance with Dr.Growdon or Mass General.

I have never been so impressed with the professional qualities of this doctor. His surgical skills, his medical knowledge, as well as, his bedside manner goes beyond excellent. I can only hope that as this rather young surgeon,continues with his career he never forgets the importance of all the wonderful attributes he shares with his patients.
