Dr. Whitney Carr Edwards

After my son was born this woman said his case of jaundice was nothing she hadn't seen before. When she sent us to the hospital to get the blood test I asked if we should stay because I was very worried but was told by her to go. We even asked her if we could pick up some Billy lights while we were waiting for results and she said no. Later that day we got a message saying if we didn't bring our son right in they would call law enforcement on us. This confused us because we had just been reassured by her that day that it was not so serious. Please understand, we were excited to get treatment for my little baby boy...its why we took him to the pediatrician. We took him right away when we heard the message but he was very poisoned and had a lifetime of complications. Worst part was afterwards Dr Edwards refused to see us and tried to avoid us.....it crushed us. I think her behavior was unprofessional and cost my only son some of his life's happiness. She could have at least said it… was worse than we thought and continued to see our family. She had been my daughters pediatrician for years before this. After my sons complications it took me a Decade to even consider having another child. The only reason I am writing this is because I had a healthy daughter last year:) but I won't be taking her to Dr Edwards. I just thought I would share our families experience because our experience with Dr Edwards was a lifechanger.

This doctor should not be working with kids/ worried parents of kids. She is rude, condescending and talks down to you- this was my experience as well as other parents I know. I have never come across a doctor of her nature and it saddens me that she is in this practice.

My nine year old daughter has been a patient of Dr. Whitney's for approximately 2 years. Dr. Whitney has always listened to my concerns and took appropriate measures when necessary. On several occasions she's spent extra time educating us on updated medical knowledge with was beneficial for our daughter's healing.I recommend Dr. Whitney without reservation.
