Dr. Potampa is the best in the field!

My husband was referred to Dr. Potampa when he was having problems with one eye. Dr. Potampa diagnosed it as a macular hole and recommended a surgeon in Seattle. The operation, called a vitrectomy, was successful and we went back to Dr. Potampa for ongoing care. We have found his staff courteous, the time spent with him and his assistants covered our care and any questions. I also wear contacts and the doctor that took care of that aspect was sensational! Our kids and grandkids go there as well and the whole family has been very satisfied.

Dr Potampa performed cataract surgery on my right eye. I had no problems with the pre op exam, the surgery nor the follow up. Dr Potampa was very professional, provided all the information I requested, and all the paperwork and billing was handled correctly. I would definitely refer him to family and friends.

Ive gone to this doctor a couple times just to get my eye pressure checked. Each time he has billed me for a full eye exam. He corrected the billing the first two times, but not the last. It is my opinion that his ethics are less than to be desired. That I would pay for something that I did not ask for. I will not go back there again.

It has been almost a year and still I have a lot of symptoms in both eyes after going a regular eye exam with Dr. Potampa. Immediately after my visit I started having blurry vision and seeing startbursts, later I developed other symptoms but everything started with that visit. I came back to the Dr's office the next day and he told me that it was "Just" dry eye and basically invited me to go home and put eye lubricant regularly. I have been in treatment since then but have not improved significantly. Be aware!

Waited too long to see this doctor; didn't know what he was doing. Operation was a total failure yet they still billed my insurance. Won't ever recommend or see this doctor again.
