Dr. Wilfredo Jose Alvarez, MD

After being a patient for over 10 years with Dr Alvarez. I had a billing concern on my daughters bill and the staff was extremely rude to me. I had the Insurance company call them and explain to them the billing error ad they refused to fix it. Then I receive a random letter to my home saying the Dr will no longer be my Dr due to the threat I am to patient confidentiality which made no sense. I called the office thinking it was an error and they kept hanging up or leaving me on hold. They refused to put the Dr on the call or pass any of my messages most likely to cover up their own wrong doing. Very sad after recommending various family members and friends to this office even my own daughter this is the treatment I have received. I was always under the impression that this Dr cared for his patience but it seems that is not true.

He has been my doctor for many years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else but there , he is caring just as the staff is and he really does pay attention to every single detail .

DO NOT GO HERE. I have had the worst experience with this practice. I have been working for months to get an appt. b/c the secretary is terrible. I call and call and call again and she doesn't return my calls or take any notes that I've given her to get my insurance in network (as I am now self-insured). FINALLY she gets it figured out after I call her 5+ times. I call and confirm my appt. 15 min before they close (the day before my appt.) & she confirms. I get there the next morning (which I took off from work) and she says "you don't have an appointment, but I can try to squeeze you in..". HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. I leave upset. I then call & tell her to take me off the schedule forever & how upset I was by her using the words "squeeze me in" when I've been waiting for this appt for months. Then I get a letter from the doctor telling me that I "threatened" his practice. Never once did I get a call from him to tell him what REALLY happened. Very disappointed with this Dr.

Dr. Alvarez, W. honestly is a Great professional with a lot of experience always willing to listen, take his time with each patient. Gloria is her super star assistant always helpful and friendly. I have know them for many years, I don’t live in Kendall but I make the trip because He is the Best ! Very friendly staff, Thanks a Lot!!

Dr. Alvarez took car of me during my entire pregnancy and finally delivered a healthy baby. I love him and the staff. I felt incredibly secure on his hands and the way he handle the c-section was perfect... not to mention the scar is literally invisible!!!!

Dr. Alvarez has been my OB/GYN for 10+ years now and I would not change him for anything. His bedside manner and kindness is just something you do not see anymore in medicine. I recently had my first child and the entire pregnancy went great. All my questions and concerns were always answered and he always called back promtly. The staff is great and so are the nurses. Would definitely recommend him to everyone. If you want a GREAT doc definitely need to make an appointment with Dr. ALVAREZ. ...

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Alvarez and the staff at His office. I had surgery that really went well and am grateful. Dr. Alvarez is He truly is a wonderful Doctor and I have faith in his ability! He is extremely caring, he listens, he explains what procedure needs to be done and he is there for his patients! Thank you Dr. Alvarez for being there for me!

Firstly, he has a relaxing, clean waiting room and friendly staff. Then Dr. Alvarez greets you with a smile. He answers all your questions without making you feel like he is rushing you or in a hurry for the next patient. He is warm and kind; you can tell he really cares about you. He is very competent and smart without making you feel that he is superior. He did a wonderful job with my surgery and post care. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this doctor.
