Dr. Wilfredo Alfonso Munoz, MD

My issue is with the office staff rather than Dr Munoz (who I think is a wonderful and extremely proficient medical practitioner). I'd give him 5 stars, but alas, here we are. I'm Medicaid patient and required medications that were not first-line medications and required pre-authorization from Medicaid before I could get them. I initially called my insurance provider multiple times and they have not received the pre-auth, I call the office and they say they will at the end of the week. At the end of the week, I called Medicaid who informed they did not send it (I called and they said they will "soon"). I called a few more times with similar results, but my insurance provider also called to ask what was the issue and they were informed the medical staff were using the wrong fax to submit (no problem, mistakes happen). It's been nearly 3 weeks and I have yet to get my medication. They keep telling me they sent it, when I feel like they're committing the same error and… submitting via the wrong portal/fax

I had two appointments with Dr. Munoz. The first I waited 3.5 hr. to see him. When we met he seemed knowledgeable and experienced. The second time I asked for the earliest appointment in the day and I still waited over 2 hours to see him. He gave me some sample meds for my condition. I used them for a week and found they worked well so I called for him to give me a prescription. I started Monday and got the runaround all week long. I asked to speak to the doctor every time and they would never put me through. They insisted that I had to go in again but after waiting 5.5 hours in his office already, I'm not going back. That is the most awful service I have ever experienced in a doctor's office. What more, the staff were all guarded and cold. Nobody wanted to help. Their routines were like robots, nothing warm. I am looking for another doctor to give me the medicine I could have so easy gotten from him. Dr. Munoz's office is a circus. If he is that busy, why doesn't he… get some help? His organization is absolutely ridiculous. Don't go there if you want to retain your sanity.

I have been calling for about 6 weeks now. I have requested medical records multiple times and no success. They have answered my calls and confirmed they received records and still have not sent them. Records were requested on 8/7 and until this day have not received them. We are about 700 miles away, so it is no easy to go there and pick them up.

He doesn't deserve not even one star... cause what he did to my mom precibe a medication that he has on her file that makes her shortness of breath and that medicine took her to the hospital twice.and he knew about it.and gave it to my mom.very bad doctor

I BELIEVE THAT DR. MUNOZ IS MORE THAN BRILLIANT. HE HAS A KEEN ABILITY TO DIAGNOSE A PATIENT VERY RAPIDLY AND KNOWS THE PROPER TREATMENT THAT IS NEEDED. HE ALSO HAS A FRIENDLY AND QUALIFIED STAFF THAT CAN'T BE TOPPED. MARK W.

Brought my mother in law fr a 1PM appointment. She did not go in until 3:30. While I was waiting heard several conversations about how they all had to wait 2 to 3 hours to see the doctor. My mother in law agreed that 2-3 hours was what she normally waits. It is outrageous for any office to opetate like this. This shows little consideration from the doctor or poor planning from his staff..or both. Looking for a new doctor now
