Willem Van der Werf, MD, FACS is the Chief of the Division of Transplant Surgery and the surgical director of adult and pediatric liver transplantation at Intermountain and Primary Children's Medical Centers. His clinical interests include kidney, pancreas, and liver transplantation; hepatobiliary surgery; minimally invasive surgery including donor nephrectomy; and pediatric liver transplantation. He received his medical degree from UCSF; transplant research training from Harvard Medical School; and transplant surgical fellowship from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is an American Board Certified general surgeon.
