Dr. William Mark Allen, MD

Wonderful, compassionate doctor who took care of our elderly dad and gave our family great advice and counseling.

Worst Dr. I have ever had in over 60 years. Refused to provide medical care unless I agreed to an ambulance ride to main hospital. Then he lied and said I refused care. Ride not necessary as I drove there and walked in and could drive to the main hospital which I did and received the proper care from my regular doctors. I will never use the satellite ER again or any emergency room where this Dr. is attending.

I brought my covid positive grandmother with dementia into the ER and when the doctor first came into the room, at the beginning of his shift, he was professional and kind. I thought that it was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a doctor. However, 7 hours later, after my grandmother had been given fluids, she became more alert (which is a good thing) however much more cranky and became aggressive. When I told the Dr that she was cranky, he didn’t like that (I didn’t mean anything by it, it was just an observation). He said it’s a good thing because she’s alert and I agreed! He was adamant on getting her admitted but after 7 hours of no eating and being in the ER, she wasn’t cooperating with the nurses anymore and I had to bring her home. When I told the Dr that, he got upset and asked “well what do you want me to do” in a rude tone. All I was asking at that point was what to give my grandma for her upset stomach, he gave me a prescription for it (rudely and in a condescending… tone) and left the room immediately. So not only am I being bullied by my grandmother, but now the doctor became rude all of a sudden. I didn’t want her admitted because she can’t speak English and I know hospitals would not let me be in with her, she’s unable to comprehend most things, so I couldn’t choose to do that at the moment. I was distraught and just cried after leaving the ER. I’m going to assume he just had a long day and I was going to let it go but I am so angry for being treated that way and want to let him know that every patient deserves compassion. I was nothing but nice to him up until the end when I couldn’t take it anymore.

My husband had an emergency situation that was taken care of promptly by Dr. Allen in the ER. His beside manner was wonderful and he acted like he had all the time in the world for us which is highly unusual nowadays. Thanks Dr. Allen!!

I had Dr. Allen as an attending emergency room physician and he was great! Sense of humor and accurate diagnosis of my issue. Made me feel comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable situation!

He was super friendly and very compassionate, which now a days is often rare.

Dr. Allen saved me and was very compassionate with the care that he gave me. He is a wonderful doctor.
