Dr. William K Avery

I had an emergency and came to see Dr. Avery. He put me at ease and he explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand and straight forward. When he gave me the anesthetic I did not feel uncomfortable and he then did my root canal without any complications or post op pain. I was surprised to find him and his skill in this part of Washington, DC. He really provided a good service to me and he is now my regular dentist. His office was not crowded and he told that he does not accept every patient so that his office and dental practice remains comfortable and professional. I appreciated the service. Thank you.

Dr. William K. Avery is a very unprofessional dentist. He thinks he perfect, That no one should ever have any complaints. When you do he goes off and is not professional or brave enough to return his patients calls instead he writes derogatory letters to his clients. When I last visited Dr. Avery's office he immediately blocked me from his phone not concerned rather I had problems or not. When I wrote him a note and took by his off. He immediately wrote me a very unprofessional and on his behalf a hugh mistake. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Avery to my pet because he doesn't care about humans let alone pets. He needs to resign from the dentistry business.

I am a EFDA, and was interviewed and hired the next day by Dr. Avery. As he interviewed me and told me personally also he wrote it down on paper, that he will pay me the $15hr as desired and to come and start the next day. I returned back at 8:30 only one patient scheduled at 12:00pm, and was told to do call backs from unscheduled patients and recorded messages from the answer matchine. I was able to schedule three patients that next week, and the three is all next week consisted of. I was also told to do an e-claim and unfortunately couldn’t locate it and neither could he. So I did the claim manually. He later closed the office at 11:00am, he said there was no business or work necessary for us to stay. Dr. Avery told me to send a email stating that I know how to send e-claims later that night, and how much he is looking forward to it. I sent the email within two hours stating my one mistake I’ve made since my hire date, and got his awful response days later. Long story short this is… how I’ve been poorly treated. I’ve copied and pasted our emails to show how unprofessional this dentist is. Me: Dr. Avery, I realized what I was doing wrong and missed. I was supposed to choose and register true clearinghouse if it wasn’t already set. Go to claim connect for dental and use code (5010 for the 2012 format). Close that out and set up the payout ID, if not defaulted. Then setup a new claim, by confirming the patient procedure as complete and go to the account. Click on the finished procedure for that day, and it should have said (unsent) claim. Double click and creat the new claim, which is already set to default. Add notes if needed. Then the claim would be highlighted in red type form. Hit save. Make sure the claim status is set to (waiting to send). There will be a button at the bottom of that screen that say preview claim, and just hit print or send electronically. If you are still considering me for this position I will make sure over this weekend that I am caught up on all training to the best of my ability so that I will work efficiently in your office. Dr. Avery : Ms Daley I do not want you to come in on Monday Jully 16. I need someone who can immediately take over the office , and knowing exactly what to do and how to do it. I cannot have days with only one patient. I now know exactly what you can and cannot do well. However , once I hire someone with the immediate experience that I need, you are welcome to come and observe her. I sense that you are a good dental assisitant but we had no patients , nor income that day, for you the dental assist upon. The day was a financial disaster - but in fairnes to you, know that it was not your fault because you just arrived. Knowing how to IMMEDIATELY run the front desk and schedule patients is extremely important to the immedaite and daily financial success of a dental ptractice. Without the front desk running corectly and smooth;ly, there is no money to pay anyone. Me: Dr. Avery Your explanation is heard. However I will be looking and continuing interviews elsewhere. Yes I was not very trained but it would have only took one time to show me and you wasn’t very efficient on doing so. Likewise I feel your dental office is was not a good fit for me or the experience I need after sending the email you were hoping for and didn’t receive your response back until now. I understand that your home dental office isn’t bringing in much business as to regards of this week schedule I set up, but it will be very unprofessional of you not to pay me my $37.50 for the hours I’ve worked. Labor law states that any hours work from an employee must be paid by the employer, and quite frankly Dr. Avery yes I am a good dental assistant but I do not work for free. So In Regards to the hours I’ve worked, I’d like to have my $37.50 Monday morning I accept checks or cash. Now you have my info on the application if you wanted to sign a personal check, or preferably cash . Thank you and have a good day. Dr. Avery: This is the first time that I have given a derogatory statement to an Indeed applicant, - but you certainly deserve it. I never hired you, - this was an intervidew for me to meet you and to verify your qualifications. Upon that interview I realized that you are a liar, are pooly trained, totally incompetent and certainly not qulaified to be in any positon of control or management - and where you must be accurate and thourough. Then I observe tthis idiot to bring in a notebook telling her what to do and say. Essence Daley now informs me that she returned to the Fortis Dental Assisting School so that she can receive help from a career placement guide becuase no one will hire her and once they meet her. Then this unqualified idiot ask me if she can study in the office when we are not busy. Little girl, I am in business to be busy, For your additional and always clueless information, I cannot pay my staff if I am not busy. That is why i am hiring a trained person who knows how to keep the office busy and can also assist me when I need such. When I had you to sit down in front of the office computer , I observed that you could not perform the very basic dental office functions. NO I WAS NOT GOING TO HIRE YOU upon seeing that. Then you pulled out your notebook again to try and find what to do. Next, you say that you are owed money - for the interview. Dear dummy, you were never hired by me. You accomplished nothing of any value to this office or me. Your interview was a complete waste of my time, as I observed you to be a liar , certainly unqualified and definitely incompetent as being poorly trained. And when leaving my office,- you forgot your notebook. You then praised me for reminding you aabout it. However now look at the email you send and

Dr. Avery is a person and dentist you can trust. He explains the procedures as he goes along. There is little or no pain, I don't feel afraid when time for the numbing. He is awesome and so is his dental assistant.
