Dr. William Charles Barth, MD

Dr Barth been my PCP from 1987. He is very knowledgeable and caring.

Dr Barth prescribed an observed PSG to treat sleep apnea after an in-home study was done. My insurance denied payment of $3971.00 as the study was not medically necessary. Dr Barth wrote two letters of appeal to my insurance company, but neither were professionally written, nor did they justify cause for the PSG within the terms of my insurance coverage (which are clearly spelled out.) I requested that he call and speak with a medical director, which is within the appeals process, but he refused - saying that he's done all he can. I feel he is in breach of duty at this point. Do your homework. Avoid Dr Barth at all costs.

Dr Barth listens to the patient, which is fairly unusual in my experience with doctors. He is very good diagnosing problems and sending you to a specialist. He is never in a hurry and will spend as much time with you as you need. Both my wife and I have seen him for years.

As a whole, Dr. Barth and all his staff provide very thourough diagnosis and medical solutions. If the doctor finds a medical concern for which he needs to recommend a specialist he does so. Dr. Barth answers all your concerns and I have never felt rushed or has my time been cut short.
