Dr. William H. Baumgartl, MD

I was his Pain Patient for almost 6 years. I NEVER waited less than One Hour to see him and it was frequently 2 and once in awhile almost 3 hours. EVERY Month...you get an appointment for the next month...9:AM...you get there at 8:30AM and there will already be 3-4 people in front of you with one in his office. At the Lone Tree location , i used to take naps on the tables in the exam rooms. That was their routine...wait a LONG Time in the waiting room and THEN you cue up in one of the two exam rooms as you wait for the patients ahead of you to finish. I waited 1-3 hours...EVERY TIME...for almost 6 years. I finally switched to a doctor in San Francisco.

Dr. Baumgartl thinks outside the box and has a tremendous wealth of knowledge. He is amazing. He treats myself, and a number of other patients with severe (and others) autoimmune disorders. He is compassionate and takes his time with you. He not only helped me with my pain but has done so much more than any other doctor in dealing with the immune dysfunction. I can't recommend him highly enough. In fact, my father is flying in from Washington to be treated by him.

Dr Baumgartl is a man who really cares about his patients. Hes kind careing exttremly knowledge able. Here's the problem Everyone expects an answer on first visit. But in defense of Dr Baumgartl did you the patient come prepared. Did you take responsibility for your part of the treatment. Here's what I'm going to say. Shame shame on you patients who love to criticize the DOCTER. I ask Did you as the patient come prepared. The provider needs time himself to decide treatment plan also needs all tests results like MRI & x-ray etc. He only has a limited time to come up with a treatment Plan. I am so grateful that he is this way and sincerely cares about us as patients. I give him a 5 ?? . With new laws, billing etc all office staff are super they all have alot of garbage to put up with. So I'm being helped by him & appreciate his loyalty to me and all other pts.but he's careful knowing that a final treatment plan will be initiated. So I challenge you dissatisfied pt to come back & give… encouragement to Dr Baumgartl when you are finally feeling 100% better and write about it at that time.????????????????

I rated promptness lower realizing, however, that the time he meets with each patient causes the delay.

I was a patient and just couldn't figure out how a office can run so incompetent. Yes you think he listens but does he really. Medication given are they really for what you have. All I am saying is PAY ATTENTION. Make sure when you go into a procedure that its what you are having done and don't let the people say one thing and its for something else. I am just saying PAY ATTENTION. I don't like waiting for over 3 hours for a appointment. That is just so unprofessional. BEWARE AND PAY ATTENTION.

Dr. Baumgartl, Stephanie and his entire staff are the most caring and compassionate health care providers I've encountered, Ever! Dr. Baumgartl really knows what he's doing, and genuinely wants to help. He is the Best! His assistant Stephanie is just the sweetest and caring person as well. I have no words to express my gratitude to either of them. I'm so lucky to have found Dr. Baumgartl.

Initially I was very happy to see this doctor. He did help reduce the levels of pain medication, but his bedside manner really is cold and he doesn't really want to communicate much of anything to you. So you sit while he is constantly typing on his laptop and you are dying for any comments on your condition or next steps. I asked multiple times for a couple of procedures so that I could possibly lower the dose of the multiple medications and he's ignored or put off every single request. He's even said he'll do it, we get authorization from the insurance and then a date is never set. It's maddening. When I brought up doing the procedures which are part of a known therapy for this type of pain he says the medications are working so let's let it go. Except that I can't function and my organs and body are taking a beating from all the stress it's under. At this rate I'll be in a wheel chair in ten years and not have had a chance at a real life. The office person is very… nice, but the process of keeping the records straight is a nightmare. It's creating another problem for us. When I try to get to the bottom of what's going on the response is maybe I don't want to be his patient anymore. I really don't know what to make of this and am worn out on seeking doctors. I believe he could do everything I need. I'm just not sure what all the procrastination is about.

He is one of hundreds of doctors Iâ??ve seen in my life who has incredible intelligence, experience, concern and desire to actually help his patients and not run you out the door, has explained in great detail my conditions and why i was experiencing my symptoms, actually performed a procedure on my neck that for the first time in 15 years provided pain relief and gave me hope....I trust him with my life as he is steady, careful, and really does all he can to help his patients.
