My previously hard to control diabetes was expertly...and inexpensively.... corrected by Dr Belt in contrast to proposals by previous providers to greatly increase my insulin dose or to see an endocrinologist. A

His breathing is rougher than mine when checking my lungs...time to retire Doc.

Not a good Dr.

Explained to the doctor that I have had a headache around the clock for three weeks, now going on five. I need some sort of scan for diagnosis but, he says keep taking Tylenol. They are no longer effective. He just wanted me to take a Whooping Cough shot. Said I was on the border of a heart attack from high cholesterol and he would send in a prescription, after ten days that hasn't happened. Also had another problem which he chose to ignore. I need help.

Dr Belt is the best PCP I have ever had. He spent unhurried time with me on my first visit and paid close attention to all my concerns. He actually took the time to read through all the paperwork I had to fill out first. He even brought up an issue I hadn’t mentioned! I’ve never known a doctor to do that! He was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and proactive in making appropriate referrals and discussing medications. He was open to suggestions and made me feel respected. On a subsequent visit he was just as helpful. And he even called me personally when I left a message on the patient portal, rather than have an assistant reply. I highly recommend this Texas gentleman!

We hated to see Dr. Belt leave the Tyler area. My experience with him was excellent. He always seemed very interested, careful and accurate in diagnosing & fixing a medical issues. Your gain in NC is our loss in Texas.

A caring and committed professional who is exceedingly thorough and polite. His nursing staff is top notch, too.
