Dr Bodemer and Dr Burkett performed an L4-S1 spinal fusion for me in December 2023. They did an excellent job on a complex case. I was in pain for such a long time and had almost given up hope. The severity of my condition was preventing me from doing so many of the activities I enjoy and, ultimately, affecting my mental health. I’m so grateful they were able to help me in such a meaningful way. I’ve been pain free for 4 months and am back finally getting back to my best life. 100% recommend.

Dr. William S. Bodemer and Dr. Jeffrey Burkett restored my quality of life! 3 weeks after retiring, I began to experience aching in my buttocks and right thigh. Shortly thereafter, I began feeling electrical pulses down my right calf that was so debilitating that I couldn’t even stand in one position for more than 10 seconds before being in extreme pain. After trying therapy and acupuncture, I was ordered for an MRI. The MRI revealed a cyst attached to my spine which was putting pressure on the nerves controlling my right side. Dr. Bodemer and Dr. Burkett replaced the disc between my L4 and L5 with a titanium one. They then removed the cyst from my spine, cleaned out a small amount of arthritis (which caused the cyst) and reinforced that area with 4 screws and 2 bolts. Surgery was at 730AM and by 9PM, I was walking around the hospital. Dr. Burkett stopped by to check on me the next morning. I was discharged, went home and walked 2 miles. I was off pain medication a week… later. It’s been 3 months and I feel fantastic! I highly recommend these two surgeons for any spinal issues. I can’t thank them enough!

7 Years ago I underwent a Lumbar 4/5 fusion that eliminated sciatic pain. But several months ago severe nerve pain returned in my legs and buttocks. I sought help at NeuroSpine in Appleton, WI. Dr Carson Brown assisted in the diagnosis - I had an MRI right there at NeuroSpine and received several spinal injections to pinpoint the cause. Dr William Bodemer scheduled my L3/4 fusion. Surgery complete - the nerve pain was 100% eliminated. Surgery? It's rough at first, then you get better quickly. Andrew and Brad at Orthopedic & Spinal Therapy in Menasha made me stronger. Pamela Verkuilen was my surgical nurse and called me to make sure I was getting better quickly. Everyone helped me get better. But the key turning point is the surgeon's skill. If that's not 100%... you are not going to get 100% better. If the score was up to 10, Dr Bodemer gets a ten out of ten from me. Kind caring friendly skilled doctor I would recommend

I saw Dr. Bodemer as a second opinion for spinal fusion alternatives. Dr. Bodemer provided me with information and confidence in his treatment and the staff made scheduling very easy. Each step of the way I was given instructions and understood what was involved. After the procedure, follow up visits were convenient (over the phone and in person) and I never felt like I was alone in recovering. Dr. Bodemer spent additional time explaining to family what was discovered during surgery that left them with the knowledge and understanding regarding follow up care. I am truly blessed that I had a second opinion and that Dr. Bodemer and his staff were there for me. I would highly recommend anyone talk with Dr. Bodemer and the Neurospine Center if they feel a bit uneasy about any procedures recommended.

Dr. Bodemer and his team at the Advanced Spine Center provided a seamless, professional and caring process for my back surgery. I was treated with compassion and respect by everyone. Dr. Bodemer was very professional and yet very personable. He took his time listening to me and explaining things. I had both SI joints fused and now I am back on the treadmill which I haven't done in years. He answered all my questions and made me feel like he really cared. When asked if the procedure would relieve the pain, the response was "I don't know. You let this go so long and I'm not a miracle worker". Another inappropriate comment, when discussing an underlying health condition, was "I really don't like doing surgery on someone like you". Not to worry. He won't be doing the surgery. We went to someone else.
