Dr. William Worthington Bohn, MD

I was in chronic pain. I had bone on bone on both hips. Dr. Bohn created new sockets, ball and femur for me. It was a hard surgery, but there was no good option. I can now ride my horse, dance, walk, climb stairs and swim. I am grateful that Dr. Bohn was so kind to me. I had a previous Ortho Dr that refused to treat me due to the uniqueness of my bone growth. Thank you Dr Bohn. I cannot believe how easy it is to get around now.

Dr Bohn has saved my life. I went for a second opinion Dr. Bohn, he admitted me that day, surgery the next. He was the most Professional, bedside manner, Great Surgeon. The office people had me wait, after I had my surgery sitting for 45 min. My sister had to get up to tell them I was in pain, and I shouldn't have to sit there that long. Finally I got in. Nothing Negative for Dr Bohn. His staff needs some consideration and not over book and not have people sit in pain.

Dr. Bohn performed arthroscopic surgery on my hip. After completing the surgery the pain in the joint actually increased. He told me to be patient. After 3 months I was still in worse pain that prior to the surgery. I suggested a post-op x-ray on two occasions which he denied. I went for a second opinion, which began with an x-ray. The new doc pointed to the x-ray and said--"there is no cartiledge remaining--you will need a joint replacement." Bottom line: Dr. Bohn botched the surgery and then tried to cover it up.

The surgery to replace my hip completely went very well. I had very little to no pain after surgery. Hard to believe considering what they have to do to your femur and pelvis.

Dr. Bohn has giving me my life back. Dr. Bohn has successfully replaced both my hips and one knee. My current age is 54. Both he and Janet are real people. They both converse with me and my husband at a level we understand. Neither ever try to sugar coat my issues. As far as appointments, yes, sometimes your waiting times are lengthy, however, when you actually see them, you are the only one in the whole world. Both Dr. Bohn and Janet have all the time for me that I need. They are both excellent at answering my questions and making me feel at ease with my situation. I have suggested Dr. Bohn to many people. If you haven't seen Dr. Bohn and are faced with needing hip or knee replacements, I would highly recommend getting a second opinion with him. The prosthesis available with Dr. Bohn out last most. Most insurances also pay for your second opinion. It is amazing at the differences in philosophies when it comes to hip and knee replacements. As for the class that you… are asked to attend......you'll be glad you did. The class is put on by several of the professionals that will actually be taking care of you during your hospital stay. It's best explained as what to expect before, during and after your surgery. I have attended one for all three surgeries. They have hip replacements on one side and knees on the other. They show you actual prosthesis, and all the gadgetry you will see during your stay. They give you as much information as possible. Please make sure your caregiver attends with you. They too will feel more at ease with the knowledge shared at these sessions. Eight years ago, I was crippled. I opted out on missing events with my family because the walk was too long or treacherous. My level of pain was beyond words. I struggled sleeping at night. I had taken so much anti inflammatory meds for my discomfort, I had caused stomach problems. I felt I was at a breaking point! Dr. Bohn truly has given me a pain free life and wonderful night sleeps again! All Knee and Hip replacement are NOT created equally!

I had my I initial apt but dr.bohn spent only 5 minutes with me, if that, he left all the personal contact for the P. A. To handle. I was surprised. He said not much more than hi. Not pleased.

I wish I had the anterior approach done. Dr Bohn does not do it and must cut the tendons and muscles from his old fashioned posterior way. I wish he had been trained in the new modern way of hip replacement. It would have been much better in recovery. My friend had the anterior way, like Tom Watson and is much better off today.

Including a knee fusion, some infection problems. Best was a heavy duty custom built right hip with excellent results
