Dr. William S Bridges, MD

This "doctor" seen my father at St. Joseph. He was terribly rude and didn't want to answer any questions or provide insight. The first two days he came into ICU unit when asked any question he stated in an angry manner "I don't know. This is my first time seeing him". The second day we got "I don't know, this is just my 2nd day seeing him". And this rude uncaring individual calls himself a doctor? A doctor who knows nothing, will tell you nothing and treats people as if they are roaches under his feet. Shame on the hospital for even letting him take care of their patients.

I seen dr bridges in Knoxville didn't act like he cared all he did was said everybody has session on their brain and then had me squeeze his hands to check the strength then had me to walk down the hall to see how I walked that was it then told me to come back the next day for blood work I live 2 hours from the Knoxville tn I walked out and didn't go back today I saw a new dr in Knoxville dr Hugh jergun and he was great I would not recommend dr bridges

I had a brainstem stroke and went to several Drs.Dr Bridges found my problem

He was very arrogant and did not take time to listen or seem remotely interested in talking with me as patient. He made you feel like you were wasting his time and your questions and concerns weren't valid. I would NOT recommend him to anyone!

Although I was taken back very quickly, even before my appointment time, and although I was seen quickly, it was a very unpleasant experience. Dr. Bridges came into the room and left three times, each time, very brief. He did not care about any symptoms, saying, it "could be MS" but that I was not bad and I should be thankful. He saw no need for tests. Said, maybe I was even diabetic, though I repeatedly expressed that I have my blood tested annually. He sent me home with muscle relaxers and tears.... I'm supposed to go back in 3 months... but, after he implied I was wasting his time, and even said maybe a family doctor was better than seeing him (despite numbness/tingly hands and feet, and blurry right eye vision)....I do not want to go back.

Beware! Please safe yourself the time and money and do not go to see Dr. Scott Bridges. After one horrible experience I will NEVER go back to see him again. Very unprofessional, unconcerned and defensive. He didn't believe in the symptoms I was experiencing and was very insensitive. By the way, be prepared to spend the day at the office. My appointment was at 9:30 am and had to wait an hour and a half before even speaking to him and didn't leave the office until 1:00 pm; and believe me it wasn't because he spent time in the exam room. He left the room 4 times, away from the room anywhere from 5-30 min each time, then coming back. Office staff were also very standoffish and unhelpful. I left the office in tears, I had hoped to get answers but left with more confusion than before. No one deserves to be treated that way, please do not allow yourself to go through that! I would never recommend Dr. Bridges anyone!

Have been sitting waiting for way over an hour all has been done is take my fathers blood pressure havent seen a Dr or a nurse in over an hour. Would not recommend this Dr to my worse enemy

My experience with Dr. Bridges has been that he is VERY defensive and unprofessional. He forgets to make diagnoses - just gives the excuse that he was on vacation. His staff has dropped the ball on numerous occassions. My elderly father had to come back several times to take bloodwork because his staff miscoded the insurance billing the bloodwork was only good for 24 hours. After they took blood again, they never called back for 2 weeks - when it was supposed to take 1 day. When I called, his nurse, Darlene, got immediately defensive (just like Dr. Scott Bridges did) and said she had planned on calling but to wait until she checked her message, etc. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL Behavior !

awesome Dr. has a great bedside manner. wouldn't go anywhere else for my neurological care!
