Dr. William Bryan, MD

Having a great staff and wonderful bedside manner are all important qualities in a medical practice but their value loses its significance if the surgery is unsuccessful. 3 years ago Dr. Bryan performed what was supposed to be a routine hip replacement on me. I experienced excruciating pain immediately after returning home but was unable to get a followup appointment for 3 weeks. When I finally was able to see Dr Brian again, I was told that my prosthesis stem had subsided into the bone by 15 mm and my leg had become shorter by that amount. Dr. Bryan agreed to redo the surgery with a new prosthesis a few days later. After another 3 weeks of intense pain, I was only told by Dr, Bryan that the 2nd prosthesis was "stable". However, when I read the post surgery summary, i learned that the new prosthesis had once again subsided 7 mm. I was advised by Dr. Bryan to get an insert for my shoe if I still experienced further discomfort. After suffering for 5 months with a shoe insert, another… specialist informed me that the bone had since fused to the prosthesis and could no longer be safely replaced. I was left with a hip that is now more painful than when I originally sought help. I am pleased to read that so many people have had great experiences with Dr. Bryan. I only wish I had been one of them.

Dr. Bryan is just plain awesome!!! He gave me hope when others couldn't or wouldn't. I was in constant excruciating pain and could no longer walk even short distances. I was advised that nothing could be done besides Cortisone or GEL shots. At my age, that was a huge blow as I am a very active person. Dr. Bryan suggested that I DO get knee replacements. I will be forever grateful. This was the best experience with any doctor I have ever had. From my first visit, through pre-op, surgery itself, post-op-, and recovery, I have had nothing but the best care. Thank you, Dr. Bryan, Tyler, Ana, and the rest of your awesome staff as well as everyone at Methodist Hospital who took care of me.

After two excellent knee surgeries one in 2018, and the next, one year later in 2019. I can attest to the fine work of Dr. Bryan and his staff. In fact I can’t say enough good stuff about my whole experience. I was planning to interview two Doctors after doing a lot of research online about knee replacement. But the minute Dr. Bryan walked in with that bright sunny smile and great Texas humor, I knew I needed to go no further he was ‘my Doc.’ Sure enough I was right, before surgery I could just hobble a couple blocks before needing to sit down, now I speed walk several miles every day. YEAh!!! For knee replacement technology and YEAH!!! For Dr. Bryan. Thank you Dr. Bryan we love you.

Dr. Bryan and his staff are wonderful. I had complete knee replacement and it couldn't have gone any better.

Everything about my experience was excellent. From the nurse that took my blood pre-op to my surgeon to my nurses. The staff at Methodist Hospital were tremendous. Dr. Bryan put me totally at ease, his PA, Lanie Woeltjen was intelligent and loving and positive. Everyone in his office explained everything to me and stayed beside me every step of the way. After my surgery I was visited by Lanie and Dr. Bryan and they spent time with me, answered questions and were very encouraging and tender and kind. The nurses at Methodist were amazing, the physical therapist were just outstanding. I will never have any procedure done anywhere else. This was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. How many people say that about their total hip replacement!

I have been going to Dr. Bryan for over 7 years. He is very personable & is spot-on with his care. He & his PA, Lanie, are the best in their field. Maria & Ana also do all they can to accommodate patients. Calls are returned promptly. When friends or family are seeking the very best orthopedic care, I always recommend Dr. Bryan.
