William A. Buche, DDS, has practiced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery exclusively since l974 and he has lived in San Angelo for a total of nearly twenty two years. He attended high school in San Antonio and is an honors graduate of Washburn University, in Topeka, Kansas. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and was elected into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After a one-year rotating general practice residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, he completed his three-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Dallas at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Southwestern Medical School, in l977. Dr. Buche obtained Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in l979. He was also was a graduate student in the English department at Angelo State University in the mid-l980's.  
Dr. Buche has a long history of military service, having worn the uniform of both the U.S. Air Force and the …U.S. Army as a dental officer. He attained the rank of full colonel in both services. The majority of his 29 years as a commissioned officer was spent working as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He was chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Frankfurt, Germany and was also chief of his specialty at our medical center in Landstuhl, Germany.  He retired from the United States Army in l998. Dr. Buche is very proud of being given the opportunity to train scores of young dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery residents during those years.
Dr. Buche is a member of numerous professional orgainizations: Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of OMFS, and the Southwest Society of OMFS.  He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Buche is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and is an active member of the San Angelo District Dental Society. He has also been president of the San Angelo District Dental Society.  
Dr. Buche and his wife, Randi, currently live in San Angelo. They are the proud parents of two grown sons, both of whom are attorneys in  San Diego, California.
