Dr Casey cut all the skin off one of my legs, then when the skin graft failed (and now both legs r messed up) He got so mad at me and my mom, screamed at my mother, than ripped the vein he had taken from my good leg, prior to him cutting my whole good leg up, and with no gloves ripped it out of my bad leg and blood was flying. He was mad because I didnt trust him to cut up my good leg more for another skin graft attempt. Stay away from him for big procedures, he may be good with cosmetic stuff, but not life saving work.

After being disappointed with Drs in my area, it was recommended that I go to the Mayo for the flap surgery following my bilateral mastectomy. I found Dr Casey to be friendly and professional. He made me feel good about my self. I just had my surgery a week ago and so far I’m delighted with the results. I received excellent care during my stay at the Mayo. Dr Casey makes you feel like you are important in receiving care from him. He smiles a lot and makes you relaxed and comfortable in his presence. He was very thorough on all the testing that was needed for this complicated procedure and everything was explained to me. I highly recommend seeing him, regardless of negative reviews, you can always determine if it’s a good fit once you meet him.

I can’t believe Mayo Clinic hasn’t investigated this Dr after these reviews. This Dr should have his license pulled. He never truly examines you. He sits on his stool and just smiles and tells you that you look great. Meanwhile you have a life threatening infection following surgery. I wish I had never gone to him!

I highly recommend Dr. Casey. He did an amazing job with my breast reduction. His staff is awesome. Scaring is minimal - a width of a hair.

I read all of the reviews prior to having mastectomy/reconstruction at Mayo a year ago. I really did not care about anything said about him personally, that had nothing to do with his work. He seemed nice enough and caring. What did stand out was that his best review was from someone who had complications and 4 surgeries. I assumed that since it was Mayo Clinic, that even subpar work would be fine. Dr. Casey performed the nipple sparing reconstruction on my right side. I noticed right away that the nipple was very low and too far to the right, and the implant was too high. Had that been the only issue, that would have been fine. Two months later I got a really bad infection (delayed healing of the nipple) and had to have the implant removed and wait 6 months to have it re-done. In the meantime I found out about a plastic surgeon in my home state that completed the work. If I had it to do over again, I truly wish that I had never gone to Mayo for my reconstruction. It seemed… like the Mastectomy/Cancer portion was great at Mayo, but then again they picked my plastic surgeon....

Went against my better judgement after hearing stories about how this guy gets around in the community. So inappropriate & his work is sub sub par. God forbid you do not like his approach or work...real control freak. Do not do it. There are way better options in the Valley. He has hurt people in the past also. Sometimes I really wonder how these guys get away with what they do...money talks I guess.
