Summary
Dr. Cathey grew up in the little town of Red Springs, North Carolina. After a move to South Carolina, he finished high school in Williamston and went on to graduate from Clemson University in 1973 with a degree in zoology. In 1977, Dr. Cathey graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry. For one year he remained in Atlanta in a private practice developing special skills in oral and pre-prosthetic surgery. Dr. Cathey then moved to Greensboro in 1978 to open his private practice of general dentistry.
Dr. Cathey is a member of the American Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Association, Third District Dental Society, Guilford County Dental Association and J.K. Williams Study Club. He holds in good standing licenses to practice dentistry in the states of Georgia and North Carolina. His favorite pastime is fishing, golfing and snow skiing.
