Dr. William Choe

Dr William Choe’s schedulers allowed my girlfriend to schedule an appointment to see him for postural orthostatic tachycardia. Which apparently he doesn’t treat, because when she saw him, he berated her for even showing up to seek care. She left in tears. I am an outpatient nurse and fully understand that certain specialists don’t see certain conditions. However, it is his scheduling team’s job to screen patients for eligibility before he sees them. It is completely inappropriate, and inexcusable that he would berate someone for not knowing that he happens to not treat her condition. Don’t think that a referral will save you this persons wrath. She was referred by her equally unwitting rheumatologist. How could she have known? Why wasn’t she warned? Why wasn’t she cancelled long before seeing him? Why would you ever treat someone this poorly? What happened to his Hippocratic oath? Why is he allowed to interact with other humans? If no stars were possible he is a perfect candidate.
