Dr. William Zachary Cohen, MD

I just moved to the area and was looking for a doctor. Dr. Cohen got good reviews and is under my insurance, so I decided to give hime a try. The place looks like a free clinic: it's run down, a bit dirty, old chairs, old floors, a cieling that is falling apart, and a bit disorganized. I waited 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Then, after filling out a bunch of paper work, the nurse asked me all the questions in the paper work again; then a doctor, who did not identify himself came in and asked me a bunch of questions again. The man looked at my ears, had me breath, then called Dr. Cohen on his phone to ask Dr. Cohen if it was OK to give me blood work. I have never had a physical where the doctor did not check my eyes, nose, feel my stomach, check my reflexes, and asked me about my health. It was, without a doubt, the worst physical I have ever had, and of course, now, I'm screwed. My insurance won't pay for another one. The good news is that I was out of there within… 10 minutes of being called back, even though I waited 45 to see a doctor whose name I never got.

He only works in office 1/3 day/week which can sometimes lead to 2 hours+ waiting see him b/c he often squeezes LOTS of patients in that short 2 1/2-3 hr "workweek". However I do VERY MUCH appreciate that he works w/me when I'm unable to make my once/mo Fri appt, for ex., by calling in a wk of meds so I can come the following Fri. instead. He does work hard to make it as easy on his patients as possible, in my experience, and he's been my Dr for approx 7 mos now! I'm NOT looking to change Dr's, that's for sure!!! He's a really nice & caring Dr. Re: his office staff, there's 1 young lady who's extremely helpful & very knowlegable, & sweet, but the rest of them, sadly, seem pretty cold & just NOT very "on top of things" so to speak!
