Dr. Sean Conlon was highly recommended by another doctor that I respect, so I felt very confident going to him. He and his staff were always kind, caring, and helpful. He proved to be very knowledgeable and skilled in treating my particular diagnosis, and the outcome of the surgery was excellent. I appreciate his attention to detail; and it was interesting to hear him explain the reasons for some of the choices he made in my unique situation. On every office visit, I felt unhurried, confident, and like I was an important individual. He aIways took the time to answer my questions, and he made sure I understood and was comfortable with every aspect of my care. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dr. Sean Conlon is unprofessional, inept, and cold. He caused me a great deal of suffering until I was able to find a skilled ENT.

I saw Dr. Conlon for a second opinion and am so glad I did. I had a negative experience with the first ENT doctor I consulted; he was very blase, arrogant and his examination consisted of just a 1-second glance at my tonsils. I definitely didn't feel that I would be in the best of hands if he did my surgery. The visit between that doctor and Dr. Conlon was like night and day. I felt that Dr. Conlon genuinely cared about me as a person, was very professional, spent time with me and actually did a full examination before determining that yes, a tonsillectomy was definitely needed. The office staff are the icing on the cake. Lovely people who were so kind, caring and patient. They called every day for a week after my surgery to check on me.

I have known Dr. Conlon Sr. for at least 12 years. By the yr. 2000, my continued care has been under Dr. Sean Conlon (Jr.) for ENT/Auto-immune disorder issues, Allergy therapy and primarily "Meniere's" disease along with the vestibular/hearing disorders/disease that accompany this affliction. If you are super sensitive, Dr. Conlon Jr. might seem a little lacking in bedside manner, (or maybe he's just not for you), but I personally believe this occurs, when a physician's concern for you may "show" (a little too much) otherwise. Doctors must maintain appropriate patient interaction, yet make no mistake -he is a loving, Christian family man who has a wonderful sense of humor accompanied by a lovely dose of humility. (When my grandchild needed surgery he treated her as if she were one of his own.) On the flip side, sometimes docs can, and do, forget that adults get "scared" too. Hearing a difficult diagnosis is never easy, but Dr. Sean does not lack in compassion, just let him know what… you are feeling. He has a very busy practice, and often there just isn't enough of him to go around, he must cut to the chase to see everyone scheduled. Also, he returns his emergency after hour phone calls promptly! Want another opinion? No problem! He will assist you with that. Need more time for a deeper explanation of your diagnosis -- best to make a secondary appointment and HAVE YOUR QUESTIONS WITH YOU. Tell the front desk you would like to return with follow up questions. Dr. Sean Conlon and his father before him (now retired) are held in the highest of esteem in our community and our local hospital has one of the highest ratings possible in the nation. I would not hesitate to recommend the Alpha ENT Clinic to anyone. The staff is absolutely one of the best in town - so extremely helpful, kind and patient. Yes, the office interior now needs a little TLC (vis-a-vis) a facelift. But, wouldn't you expect ANY very busy doc's office to experience "wear and tear" as a natural occurance? Downstairs, the sleep lab is one of the nicest in town - and I have visited two others - ultra hospital sterile types. At Alpha Sleep Lab I felt as if I were in my own home, as the sleep lab is set up with beautiful "bedrooms" for your physical and mental comfort. Dr. Sean Conlon's support (technical/med assistant) staff are all highly trained individuals and compassionate regarding your needs. Doctors are human, (what a surprise!) and can have a bad day too, and they don't have the freedom to express that in front of you, so do yourself a HUGE favor. Stop being ultra sensitive, but EXPECT respect, and become educated/informed about your condition. Be prepared to save your doc precious time. Be honest and open - part of "your" relationship with any doctor and "his" bedside manner has a lot to do with YOU! Be pro-active and decide if a particluar doc is for you and your family, see others in the same field. Ask, listen, follow up, get second opinions, but whatever you do, don't miss out on seeing one of the best doctors in Fort Collins -- Dr. Sean Conlon at the Alpha ENT Clinic. Just wish we could CLONE him!
