Nestled within the scenic Scott Valley of western Siskiyou County is the rural town of Fort Jones and the home of Dr. William A. Cunha's dental practice. The town of Fort Jones started in the 1850s first as a trading post for the Forty-Niner's who came in search of gold, and later took the name Fort Jones from a U.S. Army post which was established nearby.
Growing up in the Bay Area, Dr. Cunha attented Stanford University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He continued his education at University of the Pacific graduating with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1972. Upon graduation he moved to Scott Valley seeking a rural life style, and has been here ever since.
In addition to General Dentistry, Dr. Cunha also provides Orthodontics and Implant Denstistry. The office philosophy has been and always will be "The …patient comes first,"
