Dr. William F Emlich JR., DO

I would not recommend this doctor he came recommended to me but I remember my family was a patient of his for a few years till he up and disappeared and moved practices without notifying me and a number of patients I got a new gastroenterologist it have any practice there too

Several of his staff has not been paid to this date!!!!!!!

Years ago Dr. Emlich found the problem that no other Doctor could find and it saved my life. I was experiencing major chest pains and could not keep any food down for a whole year and this made me loose tremendous weight and I was dying! He found I had alchalsia and fixed the problem and now I am fine.

He has a very quick, no nonsense approach, doesn't mind adding in a few cuss words and I must say it put me at ease. I went to him several years ago for a colonoscopy, (without any explanation, images or biopsys) he told me I was just fine and he couldn't explain my bleeding. Went back years later for another colonoscopy and an endoscopy of a know problem in my throat. Previous doctors showed me images and explained why they took 4 biopsies and that I needed to get it rechecked periodically, I went to Dr. Emlich with confidence for my new concerns. The procedure was scheduled quickly but the day of surgery it had to be postponed a bit because he forgot to document everything he wanted done and the nurses and my insurance had no clue to prep for the procedure properly. I also woke up during the procedure, not the doctors fault. When I woke up my husband had been sent away for 'agitating me' of which I had no recollection. Without my advocate at my side, and after anesthesia, he… proceeded to say I had no problems and "everything was clear." I knew this wasn't right and questioned how many biopsies he took. He said that he hadn't taken any. When I asked how he knew the tissue was benign without a biopsy he got really upset, and yelled " YOU were the one who kept waking up!" And stormed away. I was obviously nervous to call them and waited weeks for the result of the acid testing he had also done. I finally called for the results and found out they were positive. When I asked the nurse to message him and ask what the next step was, they said they would call me back. I never received a call, so I again called in and spoke with a nurse who told me I could schedule and appointment if i wanted to. I didn't. I have never experienced such and unproffesional doctor in my life.

This was my first appointment with this doctor and his staff. I was very satisfied with him and his down to earth approach. I was equally satisfied with his staff.

Dr. Emlich is a wonderful DR., great bedside manner...very professional, and great follow up...I would go back to him...

Very caring Dr. How ever you need to ask questions. He will sit and talk as you need.

Waited over an hour & sat in a crowded waiting room. No comments, except "he's in an emergency" were given. I asked to be rescheduled then the doctor suddenly showed up. All people ahead of me were late to be seen & I had MANY things to do that day.

Referred to him after gallbladder surgery to fix another problem. Took time in his office to explain everything and also before the procedure in the hospital. Talked in length with my husband after my surgery and even gave his cell number if needed. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Emlich is an awesome doctor and I am lucky to have him. His no nonsense approach to diagnosing and treating my horrible pain, he took the time to sit with me in the hospital and explained everything to me clearly and made sure I understand. I really appreciate his knowledge and candor. I can tell him anything and I trust him completly.
