I suffered a traumatic amputation in 2016. The initial surgery was not good and complications that arose left me in constant pain and very poor mobility. Dr. Ertl performed a revision that changed my life. It no longer hurts constantly and after 2 years of constant pain the relief is immeasurable. Before my initial injury I was a fairly active 30 year old husband and father of 3. I had nearly lost all hope that I would be able to truly be mobile. Dr. Ertls help and his staff changed that for me essentially giving me hope and confidence back that I won’t live my life in a chair. The pain for the first two days was significant due to the extensive rework that needed done but once the pain broke it really broke. My family and I cannot be more happy and satisfied with the outcome. You can not imagine the relief after two years of constant un ceasing pain to suddenly no longer feel that.

He took the time to carefully explain the situation and the options before us.

I've had a broken leg for almost two years that this dr, "fixed" can't find him

After years of amutee problems it took awhile to get in to his Clinic in the Univercity of Oklahoma. He was very cocerned about getting me back to walking "Normally" and making me "Well" again. Came in with a team of Seven people to Identify any other issues Such as checking my prosthetic for proper fit or see what other issues may be ajusted before entertaining any surgical treatment ideas. Sent me to x-ray, then to MRI to find non obvious issues in skin and muscle problems felt by hand but not visable. Called me 900 mile away to tell me MRI results and treatment plan.

Dr. Ertl was my trauma doc at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA before he went to OU. He is gifted in his craft and a gentleman to follow. When you're under his care, you can't go wrong. I owe my life to him.
