I had gone in with a serious issue in my stomach that was not being handle right at a diff Dr and gave Dr Fisher the MRI the other Dr had ordered but the pictures he said were not clear so he wanted to order a new MRI. My insurance covers EVERYTHING and his nurse a Velma or something kept telling me they were waiting on the insurance approval, she said it wasnt an emergency anyway! I was like your kidding me, I cant lay flat, Im in pain the other MRI showed a spot in my liver area and your talking MY HEALTH that IS BEING PAID FOR lightly??!! This nurse is the worst and should not be in practice. After waiting a WEEK, I still got the same thing and she had said the first time it was sent my insurance said they could not read it and she resent it. According to my insurance which THEY SHOWED ME, the MRI order was approved over a week AGO!! iOnce I told her again to order the MRI no matter what she got irritated with me and said she would then hung up!! My god it is my health, its nurses… like this that delay stuff with patients that causes problems to spread and then they really do have a serious issue instead of fixing things EARLY. I would give him 5 stars but he has that horrible circle of nurses that don't seem to be in any hurry to get your orders done. If you need a good dr he is one but if you choose him be ready to deal with circles getting anything done because his staff is that does his scheduling are absent minded. If you have patience and time to deal with that go see him, he is a good dr but if you dont have the time or patience to sit around playing games try to go to a Dr OUTSIDE of a hospital program in his own office and his own staff and his own practice.

Dr. Fisher did my Whipple. My search was for one of the best Whipple surgeons in the Houston area where we have some of the best surgeons in the country. Dr. Fisher was right up there on the list. His staff booked my initial appointment in less than a week and then we set a surgery date. He took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions both before and after surgery. He was so easy to talk to and just as importantly he listened. I can't say enough good things about the care I received from Dr. Fisher and his office staff.
