Dr. Fitzhugh is amazing. He was the first OB/GYN I've ever seen and he made me feel extremely comfortable about the most embarrassing thing a teenage female has to encounter. He even came in the office on a holiday, just to make sure I was ready for a procedure, I recommend him to any female who wants a GYN with a warm-heart, kind- spirit, and great sense of humor.

Dr. Fitzhugh has been my OBGYN for about 17 years. He has taken amazing care of me, through many pregnancies, and tenderly cared for me through miscarriages and a stillbirth (which was due to profound heart defects in my baby, which couldn't be helped by any doctor... Dr. Fitzhugh's care had nothing to do with the loss.). He is a deeply kind human, with a huge heart. He is a man of few words, but he hears women, and cares what they want; he works toward helping to honor their needs and wishes. He is humble, which is incredibly rare in medical doctors! He's experienced, which I love. He puts pieces of the puzzle together, and considers all -- his wisdom shines in that way. He treats the nurses he works with with consideration and kindness. And he trusts birth, and the design of women's bodies to be able to birth-- he doesn't intervene medically unless there is an evidenced-based reason to. He allows birth and labor to unfold, and trusts the process in a way that usually only… midwives tend to do anymore. I am now a birth doula, and have worked at births with him and seen him through those lenses, and the same courtesies and kindnesses are applied to all of the birthing mothers he works with. He listens, hears, cares, has compassion. You can see it clearly in his eyes, even if he isn't effusive with his words. He honors each woman, each spirit. He is a gift.

I received care from Dr. Fitzhugh for 2 twin pregnancies. I found him very respectful and professional. He discussed any issue with me until I understood it completely, and felt comfortable and confident in the treatment plan. He went out of his way on more than one occasion to provide support for my unique circumstances. I would - and did - trust him with my life.

Doesn't care about anyone but himself. Made HUGE mistakes during our sons delivery, and now he is severely disabled.
