Dr. William Stephen Furr, MD

Unfortunately this man was on call when I needed emergency surgery. The most uncaring, incompetent, negligent doctor ever. I contracted a post op infection that resulted in a month in the hospital because he refused to change or have someone change a soaked dressing for 7 1/2 hours. He did give an order to “put a blow dryer on it”. I ended up in ICU a few days later and by the grace of God I am alive. 7 weeks of IV antibiotics, PICC lines, another surgery to remove 3 screws he put in that were too big. (By another doctor). Still not able to bare full weight (4 months) and possibly looking at a 3rd surgery due to his incompetence. Run don’t walk from this man!

Dr.Furr is a great and very humorous doctor. He made me feel a lot better just from meeting him!! His location is great and he has polite office staff. He always has the time of day for me and has a personal connection with me! He can make you laugh and is very kind to my children. He gives them candy and makes them laugh a ton!

Our entire experience with Dr. Furr was wonderful. My mother fell and broke her hip, and Dr. Furr did a partial replacement. She was up walking in less than 24 hours! The road to recovery is going to be a long process, but we are on own our way. I am a paramedic for a local EMS and I have watched other orthopedic physicians, admit patients and then wait to do the surgery, or worse yet, ship them to an out of town hopsital with a referral to someone else. Dr. Furr is the only physician I want if we have an orthopedic injury in our family.
