My approach to counseling centers around one fundamental principle: you are the expert on your own life. You, not your therapist or another provider, possess what is needed right now to take steps towards the healing you need. But connecting with this inner healing intelligence can be exceedingly difficult without the guidance and support of a specially trained, licensed professional. Depending on your specific needs and life circumstances, I will utilize one of several therapy modalities to help you to connect with your inner healer: accepting yourself more fully and unequivocally embracing your strengths.
With degrees in Psychology (BA) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MA), I work with adult therapy clients in an outpatient setting, and am a trained crisis counselor. I am credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
I specialize in working with adult clients around issues including trauma, anxiety, and depression. In …addition to being EMDR-trained, I frequently employ other modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
