Dr. William Jay Gershell, MD

After deep anxiety and suffering the blackness of days, I found Dr. Gershell.

all he does is hold her hostage for her medication which is too much. She had to be hospitalized to an overdose. AND.. he is very uncooperative in submitting insurance forms.

Avoid Dr. Gershell if you have any choice. He screams at his patients, and is unwilling to discuss his patient's treatment with family members acting as health care proxy. He is unwilling to reconsider his course of treatment, even when confronted with empirical evidence contraindicating his plan.I observed him him concerning two entirely separate individuals, years apart. The first time I saw him scream at a patient, in his office, I thought I just caught him at a bad time. The second time, several years, in the hospital (different patient) he behaved even worse than the first time. He is an arrogant, insensitive jerk, and should not be a psychiatrist. My worst experience with a physician ever. He's lucky he didn't get sued for malpractice.
