Dr. William Edward Gilli, MD

I have been with Dr. Gilli since 1998. In reading some of the other comments, I’d like to clarify a few things. He does document on his computer while in the room; however, if you’re asking questions, he will answer them when he’s done documenting. I’m glad he doesn’t want to miss any details. Also, he does care about his patients. I have never felt rushed when in the office. His staff has been very friendly and helpful.. Every patient I have referred to him has given me positive feedback. Wait time has not been a problem. Remember, if he needs to spend an extra 10 minutes with the previous patient, he’ll do the same for you if needed. Internists tend to have more complicated patients who may require out of the ordinary treatments such as breathing treatments, wound care, EKGs and IV fluids. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My wife and I have been going to Dr.Gilli since 1993 and would not consider seeing another Doctor in Bakersfield.

This doctor has the worst bedside manners you can expect from a self centered person. He doesn’t listen to patients and has a prescription for every symptom, yet zero interest to assist patients finding the root cause of their illness. His staff is utterly rude. Doctor would make patients wait until he’s done speaking with pharmaceutical reps and doesn’t hide his willingness to push for medications despite patients concerns or bad reactions. Not a thrust worthy doctor. Kevin, his PA in the office is intimidated of the doctor and would never contradict him or correct treatment. Extremely unprofessional doctor, who feels glorified by his USC diploma. Not someone I would recommend or go back to. Stay away from Dr. Gilli and his office.

I've been going to Dr. Gilli for quite a few years and would not want to see anyone else. Dr. Gilli answers all my questions, is compassionate and you know he's going to give you great care. Kevin also gives you his full attention. The whole staff treats me like family. They have a wonderful atmosphere.

Front desk service needs improvement. Back office personnel was very busy on their own conversation to notice patients standing by. Apparently they did not care that it's inappropriate to talk about the patients and their medical conditions in the hallway. Doctor was "ok" but he was too, too, busy figuring out his lap top to pay attention to the information being discussed. Would not recommend & will not be back. by the way.. I did not just come to spend my copay money, I needed your help!!! why don't you follow through with what you needed to do?
