Dr. William Madison Harper, MD

Had to wait approximately another hour to schedule a procedure after my visit with the provider. During my procedure I received a call from the main office to make me aware of my copay for the procedure. I informed the staff member I was in the middle of the procedure but she did not seem to care. A patient needs to be aware of all financial obligations in a timely manner. Had I known my copay I probably would not have had procedure done at this time. Bad customer service!

Staff is super nice. Was able to see me quickly. Doc was very nice and has me on a good treatment plan.

I was also a one time patient with Dr, Harper and I will NEVER attend his facility again. As I read the other reviews, the issues were dead on the money. Dr. Harper seems uninterested and also did not follow up with me. I do not have insurance so my visit was a self pay in which I paid in full. He did not do any blood work which should be standard for all first time patients. I also bought documentation from previous emergency room visits in which is would not even glance at. He gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. Weeks later my symptoms did not improve so I asked for a CT scan to reveal any possible additional issues. The same day the test was taken I went to his clinic so he could review the results but I was not even called to the back. His staff just stated that he reviewed the film and everything looked okay and of course gave me another prescription. I finally decided to go to another urologists and when I requested my records, I was given a hard time by his… staff. I was eventually able to get my records.

Only there one time, and that is enough. Lots of talk about insurance coverage, payment, costs even by doctor. It seemed more important than the medical reason I made a visit for. Staff was efficient but it seems more run like a factory although a pleasant one. Did feel the Dr. Was very professional, but mainly so he could earn a great salary. Wish I was wrong.

The things I did like about Dr. Harper's clinic were that the equipment was better than the other urologists I've been to; more detailed results from procedures. The staff that works for Dr. Harper are courteous and tried to help ease my anxieties (during testing/procedures) and were helpful with getting me access to Dr. Harper for follow-ups. It's a shame Dr. Harper doesn't have the same level of interest in his patients as is support staff. I had an appointment late in the day and he came off as tired and uncaring. When it was early in the morning he still came off as uncaring/disinterested. The only difference was the level of energy now translated to Dr. Harper trying to jump-in and make an attempt to jump-out of my exam room so he could move on to the next patient (pay check). He doesn't go over tests results, even if that's what the appointment is for, unless you press him on it. Not my first choice and definitely not recommending him to anyone else. If you're that tired--RETIRE!
