Dr. William Clarence Hays III, MD

I was not a patient of Dr. Hayes, but on 3 occasions brought a close friend (Kenneth C.) who was a COPD patient to Dr. Hayes' office. I spent 45 years in the medical field with a technical background working primarily in Nuclear medicine, Ultrasound, Digital cardiology and radiology, MRI and PET scanning. I have worked with doctors in over 100 countries during my career. I believe I know how doctors work and especially how they interact with their patients. Dr. Hayes is not only an excellent diagnostician but has an ability to interact with his patient and explain complex medical issues in terms a layman can understand. He's a "complete" doctor, and I have just recommended him to my neighbor who asked if I knew of a good pulmonologist.

Dr. Hays has been a wonderful doctor!!! Overall he is excellent! One of the best I've ever met. He is thorough, patient, and kind. His staff and nurses are also wonderful. The only thing that I can see that would improve his practice is a change in front desk staff. The receptionist was cold, bitter, and obviously did not want to be there. She left a very bad impression, but the rest of the staff worked so hard to help and be friendly that it completely washed away that negative first impression.

You can not find a doctor these days that cares about there patients. But he really does I am so happy to have a doctor who listens and cares for there patients like he does. There has been times he was so concerned he called a few days later to make sure the medication was working and to make sure I was doing better. Excellent doctor!!!!!

Dr. Hays is a compassionate, courteous, understanding, intelligent, pro-active physician! As the wife of the patient, I have NEVER been treated as well by a physician as by Dr. Hays. He took time with not only my husband but with me. He was polite and sincere. When I thanked him for calling me when I didn't get to the hospital in time to see him with my husband (a first for me!), he said it was his "pleasure". I can't tell you what his attitude meant to me. And, this is with his being an excellent doctor who was on top of everything going on with my husband from his pulmonary problems to his psychiatric problems. I cannot say enough to express how much he meant to our family.

Dr. Hays has been my Dr. for about 10 years. I couldn't ask for a better Dr. in every way.
