Dr. Heaton told me that he wouldn’t touch my mother with a 10 ft pole she was a ticking time bomb. (2009) She moved to Memphis in 2010then had a AAA procedure. Pacemaker & a blood clot removed all in ONE year. Then lived a happy life until May 7th 2016. I wouldn’t carry an allly cat to this man. God Bless those who use him.

I would recommend Dr. Heaton to any and all of my family and friends. I was skeptical at first, but the information and care I was given through his office was top notch. All of my questions have been answered, and Dr.Heaton spent ample time with my wife and I to be sure we understood what we were up against and what we could expect. When I moved back to Red Bay from Miami I needed a Dr. since I have had 2 heart attacks. Dr. Heaton was recommend to me by friends. I feel so fortunate to have found him. Last month Dr. Heaton found I needed more stents. I appreciate that he gives you information you need to know without sugar coating anything! He may not be one to talk about the weather but he sure will answer any questions you may have in a professional way. I highly recommend him!

The best at what he does - corrected my AFib with one use of cardioversion a year ago. I trust him absolutely.

Best of the best in our area, brilliant, talented and dedicated. All that might be desired would be a little friendlier attitude. But that is a far second to the best of care, which you will get.

Not placing much emphasis on being flattered, my desire is for competent treatment and knowledgeable specialists. Dr. Heaton and his associates provide such treatment. Not much of a bedside manner but he unquestionably knows his work and I feel sure that I have been given more time than I would have if I had not been treated by this group. Time on Earth trumps kid-glove treatment.

My father had blockages recently in his lower extremeties. Dr. Heaton's staff didn't bother to see him for two hours, and then he heard the staff commenting that my father had not shown up for the appointment. He went to the window and refuted their allegations, and they asked for his license and insurance card, which they'd already copied. They did not have the results of his CTA scan available, nor did they have his medical records. They scheduled an angiogram anyway and found more blockages than they anticipated. During the procedure, they ran out of stents and had to finish the job with the balloon. He was scheduled for a follow-up stress test and was told to call for the results two days later, which he did. They did not have the results, and told him to call in another two days, which he did four times before someone actually got back in touch with him. THEN, they said he needed an arteriogram right away because of abnormalities they refused to explain to him and asked… when he'd like to schedule that. In light of that fact, if Dr. Heaton treats all of his patients that way, I hope he has a LOT of malpractice insurance.
