Summary
I am a native Southern Californian and come from a family of medical providers, including my father, who was a respected and beloved family physician for many years, and my mother, who was a registered nurse. I worked many summers and school holidays as an apprentice to my father, but especially enjoyed helping those patients with more urgent needs. So it was fitting that my first clinical experience in my training was in a busy emergency room in Chicago, and that led me to pursue emergency medicine as a career.
