Dr. William Albert Houck III, MD

The BEST doctor and staff!!! It's scary enough to have a blood disease (or cancer), so the treatment you receive - from the front desk, the lab and Dr. Houck - makes you feel special. The staff is efficient, yet kind and caring at the same time. Dr. Houck puts you at ease instantly, knows his specialty, and spends as much time as you need with him. He even missed his lunch time to see me!! Put yourself in his hands and heal.

Dr Houck- did a spectacular job. 5 Stars!!! Besides being very personal and informative he explained everything in detail with an amazing sense of compassion. Growing up in Bethesda Maryland and teaching tennis for over 50 years I've come across a lot of doctors and he is an extraordinary one.

We want to thank Dr.Houck for his kindness, professionalism, his down to Earth, wonderful way to calm my Husband, myself and one of our Sons. We came away with a heart of gratitude, even though there is no cure. We know that in life, you do your best Almighty God does the rest. This dr is one of the most unprofessional dr I have ever seen . My sister who was 75 years old was told about her stage 4 cancer diagnosis while alone without any family present. The dr come into her room plopped down in a chair and told her she had only a short time to live and then told her that he figured the s**t would hit the fan, she died 3 weeks later when this clown did nothing but act like a premodonna. But then again he was going on vacation.

Dr. Houck III is a very knowledgeable, involved, and compassionate oncologist. He is very through, and good at presenting information to the patient at their level of understanding. In addition, he has a terrific sense of humor - extremely important when one is dealing with life-threatening cancer.

Dr. Houck III is wonderful, as are the other oncologists in this practice (Shenandoah Oncology). He is caring, thorough, well-educated, patient and understanding. As a breast cancer patient, I have total trust in him and his medical knowledge.
