Dr. William G. Housley is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He completed his general practice residency at the US Naval Hospital, in Oakland, California and practiced four years as a Naval Dental Officer. Dr. Housley was on the faculty of the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry while serving as head of the dental department at US Naval Supply Center, Bayonne, New Jersey. He also served as head of the dental department aboard the USS Currituck in the Pacific and Viet Nam.
After leaving the Navy, Dr. Housley practiced in Needham, Massachusetts and taught at Tufts University College of Dental Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor. He served as co-founder and president of the American Society for Preventive Dentistry (Massachusetts Chapter) and was president of the Academy of General Dentistry (Massachusetts Chapter) before permanently moving to Maine.
He has been awarded a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Academy’s …prestigious Mastership award for having completed in excess of four thousand hours of continuing education. He has a Mastership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
