Dr. William P Hummel, MD

We travelled all the way from Australia to see doctor Hummel. What doctors couldn’t fix here, he was able to. He was always so understanding, profesional, knowledgeable... and when things wouldn’t work out, he always had a plan b to try make things work. Our first daughter was born over 7 years ago, all thanks to him and his team. We are so grateful to have found him!

I have had the most outstanding experience with this facility, far above any other medical, or health related visits with other medical professionals in my entire life! On a typical visit, the receptionist greets me by my name as I walk-in. I usually don't wait more that 5 minutes to be seen maybe 10 on a busy day. The waiting room is comfortable and spacious

I had such a great experience with Dr. Hummel. He was so caring and nice. I was at SDFC so many times throughout my IVF treatment and his staff was always so great. The front office staff always greeted me by name, the nurses were so knowledgeable and informative, and my questions were always answered. The embryologists were also really great and took great care of my embryos. I would highly recommend Dr. Hummel!

I inquired of San Diego Fertility Clinic's donor egg program and had a very diappointing experience with the third part donor coordinator, Jenna Lake and their New Patient Coordinator. Both women were very unprofessional and seem to have forgotten that the customer comes first. They seem to be too busy to care about patient satisfaction. At times, they were down right rude. I was also discouraged to find out that an initial physician consult costs $275. Most other clinics offer free initial consults.

I was told that this was one of the best places to go for infertility. When I wanted to make an appointment with Dr. Humel, I was told that he is booked for weeks out and that I should go to his colleague. When I insisted and finally saw him, I could tell that he didn't really want to meet with me. I think his friendlyness was so fake I could tell he was annoyed by me being emotional about my infertility problem. I also felt rushed towards the end of the consult. Maybe he is just burned out and rather be on the golf course. After my initial visit I didn't see him until my egg retrieval. It was just not a good experience. Oh, and my try with IVF wasn't successful.
