I have been a patient of Dr. Irvin for 4 years. He has been a positive force in my life. I look forward to each and every visit, he listens and responds and is 100% about his patients. I strongly recommend Dr. Irvin!

I see Dr. Irvin at the St. Louis VA. He is extremely compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend him to anyone and am glad I can see someone like him. I am ex military.

I really like Dr. Irvin Jr. - he's the best psychiatrist I've seen! He treats patients like we're human beings and not just another patient to see. He actually smiles and is in a good mood every time I've seen him. He really listens and wants to help.

Wouldn't let me edit my last review. The office staff member that was rude gave me ANOTHER staff member's name when I told her I was filing a complaint. The office manager did not correct her, so I thought she was telling the truth. Courtney was not even in the office the day of my appointment. Very unprofessional first impression.Pros:-Kind and caring doctor-Works with you on samples, insurance, etc-Listens-Clean office-Convenient locationCons:-Hard to get a call back when needed-Wait can be long even with appointment earlier in dayOverall, Dr. Irvin Jr. is a doctor I would recommend, even with the issues I have had with some of the office staff.

My first visit with Dr. Irvin JR was great. He was very friendly and seemed like he was truly listening when I spoke. He related with me, and told about experiences of his own. He made me feel at ease.However, his office staff is an entirely different story. I walked into this nice office, and the receptionist (Courtney) was in a stained t-shirt and yoga pants. She was not friendly, at all. She was on the phone complaining about patients on Medicaid. The next visit, Courtney was outright rude to me - as was the office manager. I asked to file a complaint and she laughed at me and told me to leave.Overall, I do not recommend this office (off Olde Cabin Road), but I DO recommend this doctor. He's great!

he listens; is very inciteful; not the typical psychiatrist who limits your visit to 8 minutes and is a mechanical "pez dispenser" with drugs! He is superb. I have worked with probably 4 psychiatrists over 40 years and he is #1.
